About David Weingold

Currently practicing dermatology in Jonesboro, Arkansas, David Weingold, M.D., is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He offers diagnoses and treatment for a wide range of skin diseases, disorders, and cancers. Skilled in traditional surgery and electrodessication, Dr. Weingold also treats patients who have skin cancer with Mohs surgery. A microscopic chemosurgery that offers a much greater rate of success than traditional surgical methods, Mohs surgery inflicts minimal damage on noncancerous cells, making it ideal for treating areas such as the lips, eyes, and nose. David Weingold, M.D., is a professional member of the National Psoriasis Foundation and an affiliate member of the American Society for Mohs Surgery.

Dr. Weingold also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine. In addition to teaching and acting as a preceptor for family practice residents, Dr. Weingold continues to publish articles in scholarly journals. He has earned accolades for his quality of care by the Jonesboro television station KAIT-TV 8 and for his volunteerism by the American Academy of Dermatology.

David Weingold, M.D., graduated from the Yale School of Medicine in 1987, after completing his thesis on medical licensure. During his time at the school, he conducted research in a photochemistry lab and was published in a number of science journals. Following his graduation, Dr. Weingold spent a year interning at North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill before beginning his dermatological residency at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. In the final year of his residency, Dr. Weingold served as Chief Resident and was invited to speak at a conference on the use of Mohs surgery to treat dermatofibroma protuberans, a rare kind of tumor.
